Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport experienced a 6% increase in passenger traffic during the first quarter of this year, as reported by the Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA).

Between January and March 2024, the airport handled nearly 2.25 million passengers, up from around 2.12 million during the same period in the previous year, according to ONDA’s air traffic report.

In March 2024, the airport saw a 4% decrease in air traffic, with 705,000 passengers compared to 736,000 in March 2023, the same source noted.

At the national level, Moroccan airports registered an increase in commercial air traffic, welcoming over 6.87 million passengers on more than 51,000 flights. This represents an 14% increase in passenger numbers and an 11% rise in flights compared to the same period in 2023.

ONDA continues to advance its ambitious investment program, with major projects underway at airports in Rabat-Salé, Tétouan, Al Hoceima, Agadir, Marrakech, and Tangiers, along with ongoing studies at Casablanca airport.
