Moroccan police arrests five people for drug trafficking

In two separate operations conducted on Monday evening and Tuesday morning, police officers in the cities of Agadir and Rabat arrested five people for their alleged involvement in drug and psychotropic drug trafficking, as part of ongoing efforts to combat these criminal activities.

The first operation, conducted in Agadir based on precise information provided by the Directorate General for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), led to the arrest of two individuals, aged 34 and 40, both with criminal records. They were caught in the act of possessing 2,700 psychotropic tablets of the “Rivotril” type, along with a sum of money believed to be the proceeds of their illicit activities.

In the second operation, conducted by Rabat police in collaboration with the DGST, the police arrested three people and seized 1,325 psychotropic tablets of ‘Rivotril’ and ‘Ecstasy’, along with a sum of money suspected to be linked to their criminal activities.
