On Thursday, FIFA officially awarded Morocco the honor of organizing the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for five consecutive years.

FIFA said in a statement: “Morocco will host the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for five consecutive years.”

The first edition is scheduled to start in 2025 with the participation of 24 teams, and the curtain will fall on Morocco’s last organization of this tournament in 2029, while Qatar will organize the men’s edition for the same age group until 2029.

FIFA confirmed that the assignment of these global competitions to Morocco and Qatar “came as a result of the great call from many local federations to pay more attention to the two tournaments, with an emphasis on using the large facilities in Qatar and Morocco to maintain the continuity of the two competitions.”

It is worth noting that Morocco is preparing to organize continental and international events, most notably the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, in addition to organizing the 2030 World Cup, in a joint file with Spain and Portugal.
