DARI, a leading Moroccan food company, has issued a statement denying online reports of a partnership with an Israeli company.

The statement emphasizes DARI’s commitment to ethical practices and social responsibility, including its decision not to export products to the Israeli market.

In response to “false allegations spread on social networks,” DARI clarifies that it has “never signed or concluded any partnership agreement or contract” with Israel. Founded by Mohamed Khalil, the company is “100% Moroccan” and owned by a Moroccan family from Figuig.

The Moroccan company DARI is today the world’s leading exporter of couscous. Thanks to efforts made over 25 years, DARI products are marketed in over 60 countries by thousands of retailers on 5 continents, the company said.

Journalist Abdessamad Benobbad had posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) a link to Tomer, an Israeli company involved in importing and marketing food products where Dari products are listed for verification.

“In the past, DARI products were imported into the Israeli market in small quantities, in order to meet the demand of consumers attached to Morocco and its traditions. These products were distributed by retailers in Israel and Palestine,” said the company in a press release.
